Jean-Michel Frank Just Really Does It For Me,...
Jean-Michel Frank, Filing cabinet, circa 1933, leather and brass. Look at that texture and stitching! I die! These numbered drawers come all the way out, like little leather tipped safety deposit boxes. When I lifted one open, the inside was covered in white and pale blue marbled paper. Amazing. This is the type of subtly extravagant detail he put into every one of his designs that you...

Marc Newson, set of five Bucky Chairs
Electostatically upholstered polyurethane foam and five original aluminum connectors. Executed in 1995. Estimate: $20,000 - $30,000. From Sotheby’s Fusion: Contemporary Art & Design preview. These were in somewhat shoddy condition. Holes in the foam and overall a bit dingy up close. I’d still hit it though.

Wouldn’t one of these be great in the dollhouse? Yeah. I just don’t have an extra $25,000 - $35,000 laying around right now. Seen at Sotheby’s Fusion: Contemporary Art & Design preview.

Pee Wee & Poodle
I finally bought the perfect pet for my dollhouse… I just don’t know what to name him/her yet. Maybe Priscilla? Oooh I just had an idea. What if I spray painted it metallic red or pink? Wouldn’t it look just like a Jeff Koons balloon animal sculpture? Hmm…
