Gathering inspiration images for my miniature Painted Lady dollhouse. Because I have so many color options and can basically go batshit insane if I like, I am having a hard time deciding what to choose. Classic purple/pink/white? Fuchsia/green/yellow/turquoise? Purple/violet/lavender/eggplant? I’m going to be putting the house on a flat wood base, too, so there will be a little vegetable garden and AstroTurf front yard. I am so excited about this project.
I’ve been thinking about which movies to use as inspiration for the interiors - even though I’m thinking San Francisco circa 1968 for the outside, the films that have so far come to mind for interiors are both set in London in the late 60s - Withnail & I and Performance. I am envisioning rock posters, beaded curtains, low to the ground furniture, wicker, plants, floor cushions, hand painted wood detailing, radically printed wallpaper, macramé, tie dye, batik, ikat… Maybe some big top stuff and a tented ceiling a la The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus, too.

P.S. If you have any movie or book suggestions for me to check out for visuals, please let me know!
