I love this wallpaper. I would buy this wallpaper. I would hang this wallpaper. I would sit and stare at this wallpaper. I would take vanity portraits of myself in front of this wallpaper. I would cut a piece of this wallpaper out and frame it, and then hang the framed piece of this wallpaper on a wall that was papered with this wallpaper. I would.
But I may never do a thing with this wallpaper, because I discovered it on one of those inspirational image home decor blogs, one where they don’t credit ANYTHING. They credit absolutely nothing. It’s astounding. Why I still even subscribe to the blog I do not know. I think I’m done with it now. A couple months ago I actually left a friendly comment with the blogger about the blatant lack of sourcing on her site, and why that is a bad thing to do. I even provided a link to a FLOWCHART which plainly details how to post images on the internet. No response. Maybe it was snarky of me, but this awesome wallpaper above is why I turn into such a geeky avenger on the subject. I don’t get like this about everything - say, uncredited images of puppies and kittens and sunsets. I get this way about art & design. Why run a blog about decorating and not give credit to the designers? What if someone wanted to commission work? You may have just cost them a job. It’s rude to not acknowledge the creativity of the people who create and style the images that get copied and pasted onto these aspirational internet mood boards, and it’s inconsiderate to those who might be interested in hiring designers, purchasing items or even just learning more about them.
Oh, by the by, lame blog I will not name? I just Googled “black and white chair pattern wallpaper” and learned that this room was designed by Caroline Decesare of Decesare Design Group, and the wallpaper is “Chaises de Ginger” by Brunschwig & Fils. Stop being lazy and do some research. It’s not that hard. Now you know.
